1. Can I pay for my fuel by Switch or credit card? Yes. Not only is there no charge, we'll even give you a discount for paying by card at the time of order.
2. Are there any regulations covering where I can site my tank? There are three sets of oil storage regulations covering domestic, commercial and agricultural use. In each case there are specifications concerning the sizes of tanks and whether thay should have a catchment bund. There are also rules concerning distances from boundaries, buildings, natural water courses and open drains.
LPG storage tanks are also subject to rules and regulations concerning distances from boundaries and buildings.
In all cases, we also have a requirement about access for our vehicles and safety of our employees.

3. Our house is at the end of a private road. Will your tankers be able to reach it? In general terms, we need roadways of at least 12ft in width capable of taking the weight of a fully laden vehicle - some 18 tonnes. Ideally there should also be some point at which the vehicle could turn - particularly if ,without this, the vehicle would be reversing into a public roadway.

4. How much heating oil (or domestic LPG) should I use in a year? A bit of a trick question because there are so many variables. What are the thermostat settings? Are there thermostats? Is the heating on 24 hours in winter? and so on...
Without a detailed survey of each and every circumstance there is no definitive answer.
As a general rule of thumb, our domestic customers average is around 4,000 litres per annum for Kerosene and LP gas.
5. Can I install an oil / gas tank underground? Yes, although these are covered by specific conditions and regulations.

6. Why do you need to know the VAT registration details, post code and what I use the fuel for? In 2003, Customs & Excise implemented a programme whereby we have to report these details to them for customers using gas oil or kerosene. It does not apply to the majority of domestic heating users. This is all part of their campaign to reduce the fraudulent use of fuel.
